Using the power of a telephoto lens to portray a Theale - Whatley Quarry train of empties with Class 59/2 No. 59201 at the head traveling from right to left across the image while the last few of the 26 trucks are still going the other way on 11th September 2018. In practice the curves across Hungerford Common are less severe but still suffer wear from the heavy loads which have to be guided along this sinuous course. Dun Mill overbridge does not appear to be electrification-ready for the eventual incursion of the wires into this rural scene. Note the 'feather' on the signal controlling entry into the up goods loop.
