A tricky photograph at line speed, but the Berks & Hants line is again closed on 28th August 2018 for three days enabling Colas Class 70/8 No. 70812 to occupy the down platform in Hungerford while a road-railer unit unloads ballast ready for the up track to be relaid. Electrification work to Newbury continues apace during these shutdowns but NR are also taking the opportunity to catch up with other maintenance tasks while traffic is suspended.
