It's a risky business taking side-on close-up views of express trains at speed and Britannia Class Pacific No. 70013 'Oliver Cromwell' is travelling so fast with its Sherborne Christmas Carol excursion that it has nearly got away from the frame. The very low winter sun shining on Whitchurch on 14th December 2017 is providing striking lighting of the steam exhaust but the shaded side of the train has needed careful processing to bring out details in the shadows.
