On the weeks that it runs, the daily Whatley Quarry to Wellingborough stone train usually uses the same stock. However this week started with Class 66/7 No. 66747 bringing in the empties from the Midlands whereas by 19th May 2017 the turn has been handed over to a rather smartly presented No. 66750, sporting a cast red nameplate 'Bristol Panel Signal Box'. The weak sunshine on yet another rainy day is not enough to spoil this wrong-side view as the empties hurries past one of the hi-tech companies based in the old goods yard at Hungerford.
