The afternoon sun is making the best of the late summer foliage surrounding the Berks & Hants line as it weaves its way across Hungerford Common, and similarly highlights Class 59/0 No. 59005 as it heads westwards back to Whatley Quarry with the empties from Allington in Kent on 30th September 2016. In the next few weeks the falling leaves will bring about the need for daily steam cleaning runs to keep the rails in serviceable condition.
