After heavy overnight rain the omens do not look good for Vintage Trains' Cotswolds Explorer, but the morning stays dry although rather dreary as GWR Castle Class No. 5043 'Earl of Mount Edgcumbe' gathers speed after being looped at Swindon, the industrial outskirts of which can be seen on the horizon. There was a good turn out of fellow photographers on the bridge at Bourton - many of them no doubt aware that steam shots like this free of masts and wires will soon become a thing of the past, on 19th October 2013.
