Swindon Cross Country DMU C615, with DMBS No. W51781 leading, is stopping at Colwall with a service for Hereford having just emerged back into the sunlight from the tunnel under the Malvern Hills on 15th April 1984. The steam days layout of double track and goods sidings have been reduced to a single running line, but the goods shed and office have survived for another purpose. The beacon is prominent in the distant sunshine.
