Class 47/0 No. 47116 with a Stratford signature grey roof emerges from the tunnel under Belstead Rd hill, running by the quaint platform-mounted signal box at Ipswich with a intermodal service on 7th April 1984. A lone trainspotter shows fortitude on a dismal day while a Class 37 peeks out from the far end of the stabling point. A week later work started on dismantling the box! Just got it in time.
