On 20th July 2013 the driver of BR 'Southern Region' Hastings-gauge DMU No. 1001 brings his train to a stand on entering Weymouth's Jersey sidings. With the rear of the train fouling the 'Up Main' the driver wasted no time in making his descent to track level to set the points for the sole remaining available siding. This preserved unit had previously arrived working 'The Weymouth Envoy' charter, a six hour run from Hastings, via London Waterloo.
