Situated between Gulijna Banja and Belica is the somewhat isolated station of General Kovachev. Like many of the railway structures on the Rhodope Valley line this quite substantial building is showing the signs of falling into a state of disrepair. It really comes as No. surprise as this line runs at a loss without being subsidized, a line that BDZ (Bulgarian State run Railway) would love to close down. Thus far this has been avoided due in the main to local opposition. Henschel B-B 75008 calls on 20th July 2019, with the morning Dobrinishte to Septemvri service.
