An unusual double-heading combination affording three modes of haulage - GWR 2-6-2T steam loco No. 4144 leads London Underground battery/electric locomotive No. L46 with an Amersham to Watford service (No. 102) during the 'Steam on the Met' weekend on 17th May 1998. The train is seen turning off the Metrolpolitan mainline to London Baker St, taking the short branch which passes Croxley Green on its way to the LT station at Watford.
