Mainline steam hanging on by a thread - the only loco authorised for main line running under the recently re-applied prohibition of West Coast Railway steam operations is taking it easy as WCR Class 47/7 No. 47746 is visibly working hard while Class B1 No. 61306 'Mayflower' only emits a light exhaust. Today's Cathedrals Express from Victoria to Minehead is running very late passing the site of Hungerford goods yard on its outbound run after a faulty carriage had to be removed at Reading on 26th November 2015.
