Work is proceeding apace on track relaying through Bedwyn during a three day closure of the route on 17th September 2024. The up track has already been removed and road-railers are loading the spent ballast into works trains, the nearer one in the charge of GBRf Class 66/7 No. 66731 'Capt. Tom Moore' and Freightliner 66/5 No. 66557 just visible trough the overbridge at Bedwyn with another. In a show of joint collaboration DBC-UK Class 66/0 No. 66128 is just ahead with a full train of spent ballast waiting to leave the works site.
