LMS Princess Class Pacific No. 6201 'Princess Elizabeth' has just come off the in-coming Welsh Marshes Express at Hereford on 18th April 1981. Meanwhile GWR King Class No. 6000 'King George V' has emerged from the Bulmer's Railway Centre ready to take over for the onward journey. In these early days of renewed mainline steam specials the number of spectators from the train is swelled by the general excitement occasioned by such an event which many thought they would never see again. No. 6201 carries the 85C shed plate indicating that it was also located at Bulmer's at this stage of its preservation history.
