An evening departure under threatening skies from Iliyantsi Yard sees BDZ TP (Bulgarian State run Railway Freight Division) 46026 take the road for Pirdop and beyond towards an unknown destination in the Black Sea area on 4th September 2022. Built in Romania in 1986/1987 these Electroputere Co-Co 5400kw electric heavy weights were primarily freight locomotives originally all based at Burgas, BDZs main freight base. Out of the 45 strong fleet some were later modernised by Koncar in Zagreb and later in Sofia to re-emerge renumbered as Class 46/2 for express passenger work with BDZ PP. BDZ Skoda 43 550 awaits its next duty alongside.
