An overall view from the northern end of Iliyantsi station and yard shows us BDZ Skoda 44134 taking the Mezdra line in charge of train service FAST 2663 (18:15) Sofia to Pleven on 4th September 2022. Freight sector Skoda 43 550 awaits it's next duty having earlier arrived with a rake of bogie tanks for the yard beyond. Despite the somewhat long grass to the right these two tracks containing tanks and box wagons are very much active and used as reception sidings for freight workings running southbound off of the Mezdra line. The mighty Vitosha Mountain dominates the back drop.
