One of three members of Class 61 electric shunting locomotives personally noted assigned to passenger workings in 2017/2018, 61008 is nearing the marathon 31 stop mid-morning service from Blagoevgrad as it negotiates the final couple of miles into Sofia Central station on 19th April 2017. It is pictured having just departed the penultimate stop at Zaharna fabrika, once the location of a major sugar manufacturing facility. Translated into English, Zaharna fabrika means Sugar Factory.
