Class 47 No. 47245 is pictured accelerating through Chepstow station while working 1Z50 06:05 Birmingham International to Fishguard Harbour charter. The Class 47 was due to be replaced by former GWR Castle Class No. 5029 'Nunney Castle' at Pengam Sidings, near Cardiff, for the onward leg into West Wales. The charter was operated by West Coast Railway Company.
