The Welshpool & Llanfair Railway's annual steam gala saw a number of the home fleet plus a Mallet 0-4-4-0T visiting from the Statfold Barn Railway.
Here, the signal is ready to receive the single line token from the driver of one of the original locos that worked on the line, ex GWR 0-8-0T No. 822, currently painted in unlined black, arrives at Llanfair Caerenion with a mid morning passenger train comprising of ex Austrian and Hungarian carriages.
