As part of the HST 40th anniversary celebrations, the 125 group organised a number of special workings using the prototype power car No. 252001 and several of the original and now preserved trailers coupled up to two East Midlands Trains' trailer cars and one of two power cars that attended. The trains were well patronised on a glorious, but cold day and here, the second jaunt of the day, the 11:50 to Loughborough High Level gets under way from Ruddington.
