When the former Wessex Trains franchise ended, the small sub class of uprated Cummins engined Class utilised by that franchise were re-deployed with several other operators, a small number ending up with Scotrail. Haymarket Depot now deploy them across central Scotland and here Class 158 No. 158868 being one of those former units, leads another set forming the 17:20 Edinburgh to Tweedbank service.
