Class 59/1 No. 59101 is on the final stages of the climb to Savernake with 44 empty wagons returning from Acton to Whatley Quarry on 6th September 2016. The level ground beside the loco is the location of the GWR signal box which controlled Wolfhall Junction, the double tracks curving away to the right to join up with the M&SWJ line to Andover somewhere in the area now completely covered in 50 or more years of tree growth since closure of the route.
