There is good news for fans of Bulleid Pacifics, as rebuilt SR Merchant Navy class No. 35028 Clan Line is at last nearing completion at LNWR Heritage in Crewe, and is expected to make a return to the main line later this month.

On 17th March, exactly 111 years since opening in 1906, GWR announced that its Old Oak Common (OOC) Depot will be opened to members of the public for one day this summer.

The largest gathering of operational SR Pacifics since the summer of 1967 will be taking place on the Swanage Railway from 31st March to 2nd April to mark the 50th anniversary of the end of steam on the Southern Region of British Railways.
