During 2016 Sofia Central station was undergoing a major reconstruction, a much needed modernisation project. The 6th October 2016 produced TBD TP Class 60 No. 92 52 0601243-5 with loaded Bo-bov Dol coal hoppers working into Sofia Central station to perform a reversing manoeuvre. This practice had been noted a couple of times during this period which suggests that the normal routing from Voluyak towards Pernik and Radomir via Hrabarsko was unavailable, most likely due to daytime engineering work. Configured in 'top and tail' mode a quick change of direction took place with a TBD SKODA electric taking the lead south towards Pernik via Zaharna fabrika and Gorna Banya.
