BDZ Cargo Electroputere LE5100 Class 46 No. 46-044 pulls into Iliyantsi off of the connection from the Sub-Balkan main line on 11th May 2023. It is one of four examples that have under-gone major overhaul and refurbishment in recent times. Apart from a fresh coat of paint the only other obvious embellishment is the fitting of LED head and tail lights. The consist of wagons are heading for Voluyak Yard where they will be swiftly detached, 46-044 returning light-engine to Iliyantsi some 45 minutes later. The Class 46 Electrics are regular performers on the Sub-Balkan main line between the capital and the Black Sea coastal destinations.
