BDZ PP Romanian built Electroputere Type 060-EA No. 46-229 is one of thirteen locomotives that were heavily modernised by Koncar in Croatia. Out-shopped from the Zagreb facility in 2005 it acquired the blue and yellow livery for express passenger work. This view taken at Kulata on 16th May 2023 during a run-round manoeuvre clearly shows the distinctive body-side large size locomotive number and Cyrillic characters that were applied to the Class 46/2's. Recent repaints following over-hauls have seen three of the class lose these markings but gaining new blue front-end locomotive number plates in place of the original red ones. Light blue has also replaced the darker shade on the under- frame, the latter clearly discernible in this image.
