The southern approach to Iliyantsi station and yard on the outskirts of the Bulgarian capital Sofia as seen on 9th May 2023. A couple of railway workers are conducting a minor repair to one of their cars as BDZ-PP Skoda 44-125 heads north with train service FAST 2615 (15:30) Sofia to Varna. Despite the introduction of SIEMENS Smarton Class 80 locomotives on the Varna route Skodas are still a regular sight on these long distance services as confirmed here.
