The approach to the north of Luxembourg Central station crosses a number of impressive viaducts. The closest to the station is a four track affair which carries the line from Wasserbillig, Trier and Koblenz in the east as well as the line north to Ettelbruck, Diekirch, Wiltz and Trois-Vierges. Pictured during the late afternoon of 12th April 2023 CFL train service RB 6842 (16:08) Petange to Dommeldange is worked by TRAXX design Class 4000 electric No. 4007 with 4-car double-deck driving trailer set No. 003. Many of the Class 4000 locos carry body-side advertisements; 4007 is promoting combined Bike and Rail travel.
