Compared to the majority of station buildings in Bulgaria the structure at Lakatnik is a somewhat modest affair. BDZ PP SIEMENS Smatron Class 80 No. 80042 'ZAR SIMON THE GREAT' runs through with a northbound FAST service, the 2613 13:05 departure from Sofia to Varna. The line at this location runs roughly north/south through the station area so can be very challenging for northbound workings if the sun is shining. A good spot for a cloudy bright day!.
