Bridge E4/427A is one of two structures that have been inserted into the embankment to help prevent regular flooding on the West of England line just east of Axminster. On a cold and frosty 13th January 2022, Network Rail HST Class 43 power cars Nos. 43299 and 43290 power the New Measurement Train westbound through Waggs Plot running from Reading to Salisbury, via Exeter New Yard.
