In 2016 the weekdays 10:20 London Waterloo to Exeter St.Davids South West Trains service was usually formed of a five car consist, a Class 158 (country end) and a Class 159. On arrival at Exeter the two coach Class 158 was detached for later use on two short return runs to both Honiton and Axminster. On 8th January 2016, Class 158 No. 158886 terminates at Axminster on completion of the second of these trips, the 17:46 from Exeter St.Davids. After a brief stop the unit reversed direction and returned ECS to Exeter New Yard.
