A regular performer on the Plovdiv to Sofia main line, 46234 is captured making the scheduled stop at Vakarel on 1st September 2022, while assigned to ordinary service ORD 10112 (11:48) Plovdiv to Sofia. In 2019 46234 was painted in this special livery of typical Bulgarian symbols designed by the 'world-famous' artist and designer Stansilav Trifonov. I have it on good authority that the lettering on the side is from the proto-bulgarian alphabet known as 'glagolica' and when translated into the current Bulgarian cyrilic alphabet translates as 'The Power'. As part of an anti-graffiti campaign the idea was to show that graffiti can be turned into art and that it can be tolerated when there is some meaningful idea and subject. Well, I think the jury is still well and truly out on that one!.
