The delightful setting of Avramovo station is the highest point on the Bulgarian Rhodope Valley narrow gauge line between Septemvri and Dobrinishte. At 1,267 meters (4,156 feet) above sea level it is also the highest station in Bulgaria and indeed the Balkans. on 19th June 2016 Romanian built Class 77 No. 77009 has levelled off at the summit of the line working train service Ord 16104 (10:25) Dobrinishte to Septemvri.
