Ex GWR 15xx 0-6-0PT No. 1501 is pictured shortly after arrival with the 12:00 from Loughborough Central. This loco is visiting the Great Central Railway, having featured in the railway's steam gala the previous week, normally based at the Severn Valley Railway. As can be seen in the background, the bridge features the bricked up entrance to the former Belgrave & Birstall station, adjacent to which the current Leicester North station was built and opened in 1991.
