During 2010, First Great Western hired-in loco hauled stock due to a shortage of DMUs, prior to taking on Class 150/1s going off lease in the West Midlands. One of the workings involved a top n tail operation on the Cardiff - Paignton circuit and also catered for Bristol area peak time commuters. Here, the afternoon working from Paignton to Cardiff is seen ready for departure.
