During 2010 FGW hired in loco hauled stock to cover for a shortage of DMUs prior to taking on several displaced Class 150/1s from the West Midlands. One of the then Virgin Class 57s is pictured as the leading loco at Cardiff Central having just arrived with the 10:05 from Taunton. This diagram was replaced with DBS Class 67s shortly afterwards.
