1970s Merehead Quarry (1) - on 14th April 1977 former BR Class 08 shunters are used for movements between the loading stages and the inbound/outbound sidings. No. 22 (D3002) 'Merehead' and No. 33 (D3044/08032) 'Mendip' are waiting for their next inbound empties in the bright sunshine, accentuated by reflection off the quarry walls. Both have survived through to preservation, the latter still carrying its name from Foster Yeoman days.
