Captured on 19th October 2024 a scene that would send the British Transport Police into meltdown mode. The location is Pernik Razpredelitelna which is both a junction and major distribution centre at this heavily industrialised town to the Southwest of Sofia. BDZ 'Attraction Train' AT6581 from Sofia Central to Pernik was organised to celebrate 'THE DAY OF PERNIK'. Class 2-8-2 No. 01.23 (Winterthur 3593/1935) runs round it's train to reverse direction and run tender first to the nearby main station at Pernik. The return run to the capital following a second run-round manoeuvre would be by the more direct routing through Vladaya and Gorna Banya.
