It is only a matter of weeks until 'CrossCountry' are due to retire its fleet of High Speed Trains which date back to the 1970's. To mark the occasion a number of power cars have received historic liveries one of which is captured passing Narroway's Hill junction. Here wearing its original livery, Class 43 No. 43007 leads 43184 'Laira Diesel Depot-Cross Country' atop the 15:27 Plymouth-Leeds service. In the distance, Class 60 No. 60055 'Thomas Barnardo' powers the 13:56 Appleford-Tytherington empties on hot and sunny 16th August 2023.
