With Leigh Woods and the Somerset village of Pill seen in the distance, ‘DBC' Class 66/0 No. 66097 (with ‘Highland Rail' emblem affixed to the cab side) approached its destination of ‘Royal Portbury Dock' forming the 09:20 departure from Margam. This ad-hoc working conveying empty steel flat bogie wagons are photographed from the higher reaches of the M5 motorway bridge's pedestrian walkway at Avonmouth on a dull and overcast 2nd October 2024.
