For the first time in 60 years, rail services are once again serving Ashley Down station which was formally opened on 27th September 2024. In this view, the new station being constructed on the site of the former Ashley Hill station which closed in 1964, received its passengers on the first day of operation. Here, GWR Class 165 No. 165136, makes its scheduled call forming the 09:51 Filton Abbey Wood-Bristol Temple Meads service on a beautiful 28th September 2024.
