The Soviet era Riga EMU sets are still very much active in Bulgaria in 2023 albeit in vastly reduced numbers. At Dolni Dabnik on 12th March set No. 32 037/32 038 gets underway with the ORD 20143 1:05pm service from Cherven Brjag to Gorna Oryahovitsa heading eastbound towards the major town of Pleven. The grain silos seen here in the background are a common feature of the northern Bulgarian landscape in this relatively flat but very fertile part of the country.
