There are a number stations across the Merseyrail network which have retained many of their original features. Here at the delightful station of Birkdale, Merseyrail Class 508 No. 508115 slows for its scheduled stop beneath the splendid platform canopy while forming an afternoon Southport-Hunts Cross 'Norther Line' service on a sunny 6th October 2022.
