It is some considerable time since rolling stock was stored in the sidings at Southport, evident by the level of rust on the rails. In this photograph taken on a sunny 6th October 2022, Class 150 No. 150141 with Class 156 No. 156412 pass the sidings as they approach Southport powering the 13:50 departure from Alderley Edge.
