It is only a matter of months until 'time' will be called on the ageing fleet of Merseyrail Class 507 DC EMUs which have served the Liverpool City Region for 46 Years. In recognition of this achievement, Class 507 No. 507001 was put back into its original livery as seen in this photograph taken at Birkdale while forming the 15:12 Southport-Hunts Cross working on an overcast 16th July 2024.
