Birkenhead North is the location for two of Merseyrail Class 507 EMU's. Here No. 507007 prepares to depart the station for Liverpool Central while classmate No. 57001 makes its scheduled stop forming a service to New Brighton on 7th September 2021. Worthy of note is that these EMUs along with the Class 508 units are one of the oldest to still be operation in passenger use of the UK rail network.
