The location of Dr Day's junction provides the setting for EE Class 50's, No's 50049 'Defiance' and 50007 'Hercules' as they traverse the 'Rhubarb loop' while powering Pathfinder Tours 05:44 East Midlands Parkway-Weymouth 'Wessex Wanderer' railtour. The return journey was routed via Basingstoke, Oxford and arriving back at East Midlands Parkway at 23:10 on 08th August 2018.
