For over thirty-years the highly successful Class 59 locomotives have hauled some of the UK's heaviest freight workings which emanate form the Somerset quarries of Merehead and Whatley. Here at Great Cheverell, Class 59/2 No. 59202 'Alan Meddows Taylor- MD Mendip Rail Limited' passes by atop the 11:25 Allington ARC-Whatley quarry working on a sunny 22nd June 2018.
