The Avon Valley Railway's annual spring Diesel Gala is once again underway as seen here at Bitton. Entering the station is Ruston Hornsby 0-6-0DH No. 429 'River Annan' working an Oldland Common-Avon Riverside service on 14th April 2018. Owing to the unfortunate derailment of Class 31 No. 31110 earlier that morning (which is seen on the left of the photograph), the line's smaller locomotives were pressed into service to cover the gala's timetable.
