On the late afternoon of 23rd November 2016, the 16:30 Bristol Temple Meads-London Paddington GWR service was declared a complete failure due to brake problems. Here on platform 15, Class 08 pilot No. 08663 'St Silas' arrives to render assistance having been hastily summoned from St Philips Marsh HSTD. Of interest, the special coupling bar used to couple the pilot to the power car can be seen on the platform awaiting use. Staff are also viewed discussing the arrangements which ultimately saw the ensemble depart for St Philips Marsh Depot half an hour later.
